Fyvie signed for the Latics last week from Aberdeen.
“I can’t wait to play against Manchester United – and Paul Scholes in particular,” Fyvie told the Wigan Evening Post.
“They’re the biggest team going, and he’s still the best central midfielder in the world.
“Hopefully I’ll get the chance to play against him and show I belong at this level.”
